The incident highlights the need for stricter laws and measures to protect rape victims and their families from such horrific acts of violence. Dalit girls in India are among the most vulnerable to the worst kind of violence and are often denied justice due to their caste identity. They face multiple forms of discrimination and social marginalization, which perpetuate the cycle of violence against them. And in most cases they are denied justice, and their cases are often not given the attention they deserve.
