Bihar: 14-year-old Dalit girl beaten to death for plucking  gram leaves by farm owner Ramadhar Yadav and 3 others

In a tragic incident in Kaimur district, police have initiated legal action against four individuals accused of fatally assaulting a teenage Dalit girl, Sundari Kumari (14), on Wednesday. The victim, daughter of Jitendra Ram from Hata village under Chainpur police station, beaten to death allegedly for plucking gram leaves from the field of farm owner,Ramadhar Yadav.

According to the authorities, Sundari had gone to the farmland accompanied by her cousin when the owner, Ramadhar Yadav, and his son, Gaurav Yadav, confronted and attacked her with bamboo sticks. The assault proved fatal, and the young girl succumbed to her injuries upon returning home, as reported by Shambhu Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Chainpur police station, According to a report of the Times of India 

“We are currently conducting raids to apprehend the accused individuals,” stated SHO Shambhu Kumar. He further disclosed that the accused parties are residents of Nandana village, located approximately 1 km from the victim’s village.
