11 year-old Dalit girl gangraped by father’s friends in his absence in MP’s Jabalpur district on 07 December but came into light on 11 December.

The girl was allegedly gang-raped in the backyard of her house by two of her father’s friends, aged 25 and 26 years, Additional Superintendent of police Sanjay Agarwal said.

The 11 year-old is a class 7 student, her father, a labourer was out for work when this incident happened. Neighbours informed police about the matter on December 11.

Both the accused have been arrested and a case has been registered against them under relevant sections of IPC, SC/ST ( prevention of atrocities) Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
