Casteist slurs hurled at JNU Dalit student, beaten for denying to copy his assignment

In the recent incidents of caste atrocities and institutional casteism, News coming from Jawaharlal Nehru University, where a Schedule Caste student named Sagar Kumar was hurled casteist slurs and was also brutally Beaten by another student, his classmate named Shubham Kumar for refusing him to copy his assignment.

“On 28 November, at night 11, I was studying in my room while Shubham came in and asked me to assignment to which I refused and told him the teacher can fail me for this. Several times he insisted but I refused. Thereafter he hurled Casteist slurs at me and started abusing me and beat me. Adding, I am mentally traumatized after this incident, strict action must be taken against him.”
