Sonbhadra: one of the accused came out of jail a week ago, gang-raped Dalit Woman in front of his brother

A heart-wrenching incident has occurred in Sonbhadra, Ghorawal Kotwali area, where a Dalit woman was gang-raped by three people in front of her brother. The woman was going to her house with her brother when five people arrived. There, by tying her brother, they raped her.

Kotwali inspector Devta Nand Singh said that the young man was going to his village with his cousin’s sister on a bike. On the way, five people, including one teenager, stopped them. Threatening, the young man tied his hand and forcibly took the woman and went among the bushes.

The victim and her brother were in panic for the first 24 hours. After that, they informed the family members. On Wednesday afternoon, the incident was reported to the police. As soon as the information was received, the Kotwali police swung into action.

SHO Ghorawal said that action is being taken by registering a case. Police are on the lookout for the accused. One of these accused came out of jail a week ago. Whereas he was earlier jailed under the POCSO Act. SSP, CO, including Superintendent of Police Amarendra Prasad Singh, reached Kotwali late on Wednesday evening, investigating the matter with the victim. According to police the woman named four persons. Two were from her village, while two others were from Robertsganj.

Superintendent of Police RP Singh said, that the “case been registered against the four men under various sections of the IPC and SC/ST Act”
